Colors Toddler Preschool app good for
My 2 1/2 year old loves this app. I have all of his apps on one page on my iPhone and he knows exactly how to flip through the pages to get to his games. This app in particular, I love, because it is helping him learn colors, letters, numbers, shapes (I actually bought all of the Toddler Teaser apps. They all rock.
This app is wonderful for my two year old she will play it for hours at a time and I love it because you can tell they really put a lot of thought into making it easy to play.
My only problem is the sticker feature is a little hard for my daughter. She always hands it to me to "fix" when the sticker part comes up. PLEASE make that feature optional
My grandson loves this and all the other games that go with this. Thank you for the fun and learning. The whole family has iPhones and we all have your apps for our 2 year old.
To overlook this download for your toddler would be a huge mistake. I called Apple to recommend them for a commercial spot and/or an award. My 2 1/2 year old daughter has TRULY LEARNED from this app and the rest of the Toddler Teaser family of apps. Do the right thing and download this amazing educational tool!
My 3 year loves this and we have found this is a good wasy for him to learn his colors. We have only run into one problem. He seems to be too quick for application. When it reads what he should touch, as soon as he hears the color, he tries to touch that colored object, but the application does not let him select it, so he tries to press something else that will work which is incorrect. I can teach my 3 year old colors, but patience is much more difficult. If you could help with this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. This may also be needed in your other apps, we have not purchased them yet, but plan to.
Toddler Teaser Apps Are Brilliantly Designed!
It is in my humble opinion and as a mother of a 2 1/2-year-old developmentally delayed child that I have to firmly state how well Toddler Teaser knows how a toddler thinks. I have purchased many other toddler apps that I get stuck with never using because of frustrating, opening page, option menus (that are not shown in the screen shot examples) that toddlers have no clue how to use. Toddler Teaser apps start the fun right away on the first page and I cannot thank them enough for it. I will never hesitate to pay full price knowing how well these apps are designed. If its made by Toddler Teaser, its the app for us! Thank you, TT, every so kindly for your extremely high quality products. -A
Some bad moments
My app stopped working. The triple tap to get to the menu has never worked and now everytime we open the app to play it freezes up and does not work what so ever.
Only has three different games, which are really the exact same game. Small selection of stickers (rewards) and only one page to put them on. My daughter just turned 2 and this is really easy for her.
The developers seem to intend to add more games and stickers, but IF they add them, they would be an extra charge. As limited as this game is, they need to expand it for free to make it worthwhile. Feels like a lite version that I paid for.
My 2 year old does not like this app at all. It does not provide a wide variety of activities. The games could confuse children. For example, if you pop a blue balloon, another color will come out of the balloon and the new color is stated. Should be blue coming out of blue...
This app has no sound and menu keys that do nothing. I have wasted .99. Argh!
Quizzing aspect was great overall, However I did not like the Flashcard or the Toybox. Reason being is the flash card background is Purple and the color inside the flashcard is yellow with purple letters. I think the flashcard and lettering should all be the same color the child is learning.
This is a great app if you want to play a practical joke on your kids. Like how we taught Noah that a lady bug says roar. Except parents, beware. It seems funny when they are 3, but eventually the meowing cow comes home to roost. But I digress.
In this app, you click on the brown balloon and it pops and the voice says yellow. Then a small yellow splat falls, but it is too late. Any normal human now associates the word yellow with the color brown. They clearly took an exercise from another app and shoe horned it into this app.
Also there are no puzzles.
A sad waste of 99 cents.
